RS-LogScanner3DX is RemaSawco’s combined 3D and X-ray system for timber measurement. This combination measures the true shape of your logs and at the same time reveals the internal properties of the log. This means that you, already in the initial measurement, can choose to sort according to the product needs found later in the process. According to independent studies, the system offers the market’s best measurement of diameter under bark, which gives you major competitive advantages through more efficient raw material utilization.
RS-715 is a control system for log sorting and revenue sorting. The system is built around a network (Ethernet with a TCP/IP protocol) using PC and PLC technology. The operator interface is developed according to ®Microsoft Windows standard. The system is designed to simplify future expansion. The included industrial router makes it possible for RemaSawco to update software, check settings and troubleshoot the system. The connection is made with a high level of security via RemaSawco’s server and a VPN Tunnel.

Log optimisation is is a continuous process during production based on a 3D-model of the log created in the 3D log scanner. After passing the scanner, the optimisition program calculates the optimal value based on best economical value, maximum volume or other customer requirements. RS-Opt is also a good tool for simulation and planning of the production, taking all possible cut patterns in consideration.
RS-LogScanner3D is RemaSawco’s measurement system for 3D measurement of timber, built on a user-friendly and future-proof software and hardware platform. With this measurement system, you get a high-performance scanner that measures the true shape of your logs to enable maximum yield. At frequent intervals, the entire mantle surface is recorded using hundreds of thousands of measurement points. The 3D measuring frame covers most needs for e.g., timber sorting, measuring, whole log fitting, saw intake, saw control and log turning.
RS-Z uses 3D data from the log optimisation and additional measurements next to the log turner to enable automatic log turning and to improving its precision. The measurements by the log turner are made with two cameras equipped with linear laser technology, which returns a partial measurement of the shape of the log. This is to avoid major mechanical reconstructions.
RS-Con is a user-friendly application with a modern and graphic user interface. The user can easily adjust the presentation based on which parameters are deemed most important. RS-Con provides instant information on thickness and width on the centre pieces after the final split saw. It also checks wobbling and other saw-related issues.
A small centring or infeed error can reduce the yield significantly. If the error is also not known, it will be impossible to make a correction. By using the RS-Line open face measurement system, errors and losses can be minimized.
