RemaSawco would like to congratulate our customer Moelven Valåsen who received an honorary award at the competition ”Smart industry 2019”, arranged by The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA). Even though they did not take the first place, the honour award meant a place in the top three in the competition. The competition focuses on giving attention and rewarding companies that have utilized the digitalisation opportunities that have led to smart solutions and improvements.
“This is big for us. It created the motivation and of course, creates the inspiration to continue. It is an acknowledgement that we are on the right path” says Peter Rockedahl at Moelven Valåsen.
RemaSawco was a part of the project at Moelven Valåsen, where we delivered the measuring equipment and system that created the data needed to connect the different parts in the sawmill. The project created the first successful connection with the different measuring systems throughout the whole process in the Sawmill. For this project, they have gathered measurements with several of our products: RS-BoardScannerQ, RS-XRay, RS-Line & RS-Con.
This system creates a tool that allows for better analysing and follow-ups. Thus, creating higher yields, and better use of the raw materials. This project will serve as a springboard for further realization of our Digital Sawmill solution. The Digital Sawmill solution is still a long way from being realized, but with projects like these, we create a foundation that will make our vision a reality.
